I'd like to give an update on the project. We have successfully designed, manufactured and operated a micro-turbine jet engine, thanks to Boca Bearings and the generous educational discount. While we were able to achieve the initial goal of simply operating the engine at any speed, we had failure in our rotor-spring system which led to unsalvageable damage in most rotating components. 

 

Despite this shortcoming and the short schedule we have left, we have a Return to Run plan to test the engine again to achieve maximum thrust before we graduate.
